Born in El Paso, Texas, living on the border’s bi-national precipice influences much my work concerning America. I make art about the history of effort and aspiration - as well as the pursuit of big, bold, and beautiful visions. I am represented by Franklin Parrasch Gallery, NY and parrasch heijnen, LA. Public Collections include: the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas (Dallas, TX) and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (San Diego, CA).
I graduated with dual degrees from Brown University (English AB) and Rhode Island School of Design (Painting BFA) through the Brown-RISD Dual Degree Program in May of 2022. Now I am pursuing an interdisciplinary Ph.D. at Stanford University in Modern Thought and Literature.
Dipp has staged her original plays through the fiscally sponsored company she co-founded with her sister in 2012, Sunhouse Arts. Sunhouse Arts donates all net profits to humanitarian efforts in the El Paso-Juárez area (sunhousearts.org). Work Project, Sunhouse Arts’ most recent endeavor, is the largest living archive of today’s Southwest and involves over 250 participants, including prominent cultural figures, artists, nonprofits, educators, historians, businesses, and humanitarian organizations (ourworkproject.org). During the spring and summer of 2021, Dipp co-hosted as the creative director of an iHeartRadio show spanning the Southwest, the Pass of the North Radio Show. She is currently concluding the first manuscript that she aims to publish, The Book of Yet.
She is indebted to ghosts of the past, books and their spines, words with curved letters, and the gumption that the best is forthcoming.
